Videoconferencing Success News

With an increased need for face-to-face communication, tighter schedules, and stricter budgets, the use of videoconferencing in corporations is increasing steadily. The latest technology allows for unsurpassed quality at a minimal cost. Using existing IP or Internet connections, you are able to connect to people all over the world with the touch of a button.

success

At Matrix, the number of satisfied customers using videoconferencing is steadily growing. One happy customer is the Alberta Construction Safety Association who recently purchased nine Sony videoconferencing units from Matrix Video Communications. "We’re extremely grateful to Matrix for advising us of an appropriate solution. The quality of the Sony videoconferencing system makes the meeting experience as good as being there in person. In addition, the business as a whole benefits from faster decision making and underpins our commitment to the innovative use of technology within the group," says Art Reindeau, Computer-based Training Manager. "The staff at Matrix were such a great help in demonstrating the equipment for us. The equipment is so user-friendly, almost like picking up the phone to make a call. They were there to train us in all aspects, and continue to offer support in anything we need!" The ACSA purchased a wide range of the Sony units, starting at the high-end systems, right down to the end-point units that start at $3,100.00 CDN.

Today, at ACSA, the ability to deliver training, exchange information and speed the decision-making process through the dynamics of easily assembled discussion groups has opened up a new "virtual" world of speedy and efficient communications thanks to our Sony solution. Says Mr. Riendeau. "As far as we are concerned, videoconferencing is an invaluable business tool whose time has definitely come."

Educational

The challenge for the Alberta Bible College, a Calgary-based academy whose graduates serve across Canada, the U.S. and in many other countries, was to "get connected," to create borderless classrooms through which they could offer people far removed from central Alberta the opportunity to participate in real time lessons and conversations. "We wanted to target two groups for remote instruction and class participation" said College President Ron Fraser, "Groups of students gathered together and individuals with webcams at home." Alberta Bible College tackled the challenge by working with Matrix Video Communications to implement the Visual Nexus collaborative communications solution, a blend of software and hardware solutions that not only opens their classes to the world but which can help them administer their summer field experience programs. "We can talk with people face to face, regardless of their location," says president Fraser, "And that can enhance our supervision of the programs."

Alberta Bible College chose Matrix after a serious elimination process between 11 suppliers. "It became apparent during the process that Matrix was best equipped to fit our needs," said Fraser. "Even more important than their excellent pricing was their commitment to service above and beyond the strict call of duty." Fraser credits Matrix' "We'll do whatever it takes to help see you through the project" attitude with its successful implementation. "They honoured all their deadlines and went the extra mile" he said. "On a scale of one to 10, Matrix rates a 12." High praise, indeed.

Corporate

Steve And Mary Williams

"Following the successful installation of Sony electronic equipment by (Matrix Video Communications), I feel have to comment as follows:

There was a wide range of products available to us when we were looking to set up in Calgary and Fort McMurray - indeed, the Sony catalogue and advice from (Robert Wojtas - Sales) were invaluable.

All the Sony products were of very high build quality. The sound and picture quality in particular was excellent.

Robert and colleague, Owen (Service Dept.), did a very professional installation of all our electronic equipment - our experience of your service when doing the job at our Calgary space was the reason you and your company were offered another contract in Fort McMurray.

We have, in the past, had Panasonic equipment but are pleased to have returned to such a reliable and high quality product."

Yours Sincerely,
Steve and Mary Williams
