Matrix Video is proud to showcase one of the most impressive projects that we have completed. Matrix Video Communications was awarded an amazing opportunity to work with the Edmonton Oilers and the Katz Group for their new Presentation Centre showcasing the Ice District and the new Rogers Place!
Matrix was tasked with building six video walls, one being an impressive 48-monitor wall with six facets, each comprised of eight 55” ultra-thin bezel professional Samsung monitors. The entire wall is fed by 12 DS700 Infocaster players by Imagine Communications. Our in-house digital signage specialist, Marielle, was responsible for deploying this digital signage network to allow the devices to be synchronized across such a massive canvas! Using the impressive content, supplied by the client, the end result is an immersive experience into Ice District!
The building of this wall was an example of Matrix’ amazing installation and integration team, who never cease to deliver the highest degree of client satisfaction. With teamwork between offices and across provinces, our team of sales, installation, and digital specialists made this a project all of us at Matrix Video Communications can be proud of.
This room is the main showcase for Ice District, serving as a presentation and sales centre for the revitalization of Edmonton’s downtown. This revitalization of Edmonton’s core will include high rise commercial and residential buildings, a hotel, casino and an entertainment area which will include many restaurants, nightclubs and bars.
Most importantly, for hockey fans, a new state-of –the-art arena. Matrix also installed 4 additional video walls and numerous monitors throughout the Presentation Centre, where Edmonton Oilers ticket holders and soon-to-be visitors of the new Rogers Place, will be able to see different views from many vantage points throughout the arena. There is a replica of a fully-furnished executive suite featuring an impressive nine-screen video wall, as well as replicas of theater boxes, loge table, loge ledge and upper and lower bowl seating. The new arena will truly have something for everyone, and we encourage you to visit the Presentation Centre to catch a glimpse into the new Ice District!
